Students
Our future relies on the new ideas and energy brought from college and university campuses to NRC. We’ve developed a number of special educational initiatives, summer programs, and internship opportunities that put NRC at the top of any students short-list of potential employers.
We hire college or university students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in science, engineering, and other disciplines related to the NRC Mission. The student participants integrate alternating periods of academic study and work experience, or parallel periods of academic study and work experience. For additional information, see our Frequently Asked Questions About the Co-Op Education Program. For questions, see Contact Us About Employment, and select "Co-Op Program" from the dropdown list.
Applications for the Summer Employment program are accepted between September and November.
We hire high school or college students who wish to work during the summer or during school vacations. For additional information, see our Frequently Asked Questions About the Summer Employment Program. For questions, see Contact Us About Employment, and select "Summer Employment" from the dropdown list.
The Office of General Counsel periodically sponsors summer internships for students in law school. Internships during the school year may also be arranged. See the Office of General Counsel Internship Program page for more information on how to apply for the program.
NRC has a program for grants to students (and faculty) at historically black colleges and universities. Read more about the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) program and how to apply.
